AGI - One AI to Rule Them All

I will begin with the honest truth I just rewatched all of the Hobbit and Lord of the Rings films recently. It became apparent to me the serious LOTR analogy we have here to the current race for 'AGI'. I'm going to pick up at the 2nd age where Sauron took on the form of Annatar to infiltrate the elves persuading them unknowingly to take on his bidding.

Annatar called himself "Lord of Gifts" and convinced the elves to make the 19 rings of power that were distributed among dwarves, men, and elves. He was also very pretty. I'll speed it up. He secretly made THE ONE RING (to rule them all... circa Cate Blanchett's iconic voice). A little bit of his essence went into each ring, so even though he momentarily possessed the one ring (to exert his dominion over middle earth) he was still vulnerable to destruction if the other rings were destroyed and sought them out. Of course, then a dude cut off his one ring and he lost it, but the point is that Sauron deceived middle earth by starting out as a bearer of gifts and great things.

So, our dear AI leaders are promising AI can also bring great gifts with our cute lil chatbots of power -- but they secretly toil away crafting the only ONE AI to rule them all, which is not good it's evil actually... Also side note Palantir (AI weapons, etc) is named after seeing stones -- one that lead to Sauron's corruption of Saruman and was wielded for evil. I mean weird, right? Like is this foreshadowing?-- Anyway what is interesting as well, is the Eye of Sauron is a metaphysical representation of surveillance. Does that sound familiar to our data brokered and NSA captured realities? I'm stopping there, I will not go full QAnon style murder board of LOTR and government conspiracies. BUT...

Given all of this Tolkien predictive accuracy, I'm going to pitch something -- should we have 19 AGIs of Power (yes, specifically 19 I say! )? Seriously, should there be a checks and balances system entrusted to different nations / peoples to ensure there cannot rise one AGI of infinite power? If so, what would that look like? How can we get started on that?

Because if this were to happen, we would definitely be turned into Orcs doing the cheap labor construction and maintaining obscenely large data centers, nuclear plants and I guess Amazon package fulfillment centers?
